Thanks to high-performance video processing technology and the Media Center R_video application, the R_volution NAS allows you to create a dematerialized audio/video library from your DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. The R_volution NAS dematerializes your music and videos and stores them on hard drives, without compression or loss of quality. The R_volution NAS is highly scalable and capable of continuing to operate even after a drive failure, without loss of content.

Our movie database named R_video DB contains data on over 1,200,000 movie titles, including DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs from all over the world.

Expand your collection with ease; additional disks can be added to the R_volution NAS to enhance storage for your video and audio content. A single unit can store up to 38,400 DVDs, 6,400 Blu-rays, or 3,200 4K UHD Discs. For larger collections, multiple R_volution NAS servers can be combined into one system, offering storage for a vast array of video content.

The R_volution NAS ensures the safety of your collection with RAID-5 disk storage technology. In the event of a drive failure, data is seamlessly transferred to a standby disk, preserving all content. Replacing a failed drive is hassle-free and does not interrupt server operation or ongoing playback.

Warning! This table does not take RAID 5 into account. To know the capacity equivalence in RAID 5, you must remove the equivalent of one hard drive from all the disks.

​Multiple R_volution NAS can be stacket to store even more video content. The R_volution NAS is accessible from a computer from your local network and allows you to store existing personal files.

DVD, Blu-ray & 4K Ultra HD Discs!

The built-in optical disc drive supports fully-automated bit-for-bit back-up of your DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs. Open the tray of the Blu-ray player. Insert your disc and this is it! R_volution NAS does all the work for you! There is nothing else to do! Once your disc is ripped and saved in the internal storage of the R_volution NAS, it is ejected and you can simply insert another one.

DISC-TO-DIGITAL MADE SIMPLE

​Then, for the movies and TV shows, R_video collect the covers and various info to generate a feature rich user interface, accessible from any room equipped with a R_volution media player connected on a TV or projector. The R_video onscreen user interface is also displayed at 60 frames per second, resulting in fluid animation and a stunning visual impact.

Movies can be resumed or played back from the opening scene without sitting through warnings, advertisements, or disc menus.

NOTE:  RIP function is working with 95% of discs. Indeed, for various reasons, some discs may not be playable or impossible to be analyzed or ripped by the R_volution NAS.

BACK-UP 2 DISCS SIMULTANEOUSLY​

If you want to back-up two DVD, Blu-ray or 4K Ultra HD discs simultaneously, don't worry! Just plug-in an additional external optical drive connected via USB, to your R_volution NAS. Then you will be able to back-up your discs 2 by 2! (1 internal and 1 external).

Easy Upgrade and safety.

If your total storage is not enough, you can expand it. The R_volution NAS is a scalable NAS. And you can benefit from personal premium user support, to easily install additional drives and set up the storage system in RAID 5*. The R_volution NAS features a hardware RAID to helps prevent data loss and improve performance. There will also be more advanced features when using the hardware RAID, like hot-swap on your drives in case of a drive failure.

*RAID 5 consists of block-level striping, with distributed parity information distributed among the drives. Upon failure of a single drive, subsequent reads can be calculated from the distributed parity such that no data is lost. RAID 5 requires at least three drives.

Multiroom Video.

R_volution NAS includes Roon Server. So if you have got a ROON subscription you can access your musics from your tablet, your computeur of your smartphone using the amazing Roon' user interface.
